I love her like a sister. I picked her up and took her to school with me every day for two years. She told me her darkest secrets. I shared mine with her. We would spend entire days watching Daniel Day-Lewis movies. Her father and I often butted heads over a wide range of issues — mostly Israeli politics. He once told me that I was the only boy he was comfortable with being in her room with the door closed. Once she got her own car, we slowly grew apart from one another. I see her once or twice each year, if I’m lucky — but those are usually the best days. She’s one of my best friends in the world and I miss her dearly every day.
