“Don’t you don’t you wish you never never met her?”
—PJ Harvey, “Rid of Me”
I’ve listened to this very version of this song over 30 times today. Lyrically, I only identify with it so much — but emotionally, it hurts.
A million thanks to the user who put this little collage together. I’m definitely in love with it.

hell won’t tolerate hymns
you once seemed to love the tumbling of infarction
the oddments of destruction
life lays in your arms like in a coffin
This video is perfect. Tragic, but perfect. The first time I listened to this song, with my headphones on and eyes closed, I felt as though my soul was going to explode. Then, I looked to YouTube to share the song with Facebook, and here is the video. I can’t tell you how profound that experience was for me.
I tried watching the video, again, a second time — but it’s far too intense for me. My stomach twists and turns for the first minute and a half and then bursts, causing my heart to break. And then, all I can do is just sit there and watch everything fall.
Anja is perfection.
