I love life.

I love my friends, I love my dog, I love my mom, I love the state and national boards I’m a member of, I love hockey, and I love college volleyball, I love food, I love music, I love children, I love being thankful for all of the blessings in my life, I love smiles, I love sunshine, I love a cool breeze, I love beer, I love making mistakes, I love wearing baseball caps, I love waking up in the morning, I love listening rather than arguing, I love that I’m just a few months away from graduating with my M.S., I love that I feel like my life is about to really begin, I love that I can’t wait to see what the future holds, I love that 2012 and 2013 are in the past, I love that 2014 is now, I love that I’m hopelessly addicted to Starbucks, I love that I feel like I love so many things that I must be forgetting something!

And there’s this girl I’m crazy about. I love that she’s in my life.

Gossip "Coal to Diamonds"

I thought about it ‘til my head hurt.
I thought about it but it only made things worse.

So I was wrong.
What could I do?
I knew all along.

I’m a fool for you…

Remember the slideshow I said I was making for Grandma’s 80th?

I finally finished it and uploaded it to YouTube, so that some family who will not be in attendance can have the opportunity to see it.

Two parts I want to point out, that I’m particularly proud of are:

1. The lyric, “she weaves a blanket to cover me” transitions to a photo of Grandma with both of her children when they were very young.

2. The lyric, “she keeps her babies safe and warm” is played while a photo of my dad, his brother, my cousin, and I are in the photo with her.

Not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited about seeing her reaction. The singer/songwriter of the song approved, so I hope the "subject" of the slideshow is just as (hopefully more) enthusiastic.

California… California… Here we come.

They just don’t make ‘em like Tina anymore. Probably the hottest woman to ever walk the face of the earth.

Iron & Wine

—The Trapeze Swinger

This is my favorite song of all-time. My favorite version, my favorite song. This is the song I want played at my funeral. I carry, with it, so much emotional baggage, but there’s nothing like it.

It is perfection in 7 minutes and 8 seconds.
